🟧 AEW DYNAMITE — MAY 13, 2026 (FULL MATCH‑BY‑MATCH REVIEW)

📍 Location: Harrah’s Cherokee Center in Asheville, North Carolina.

Renee Paquette approached MJF backstage about the hair stipulation in his title match. He did not answer but looked upset as he passed a number of bald men backstage.

🔥 MATCH 1 — Bucks, Cage, Cope and Orange Cassidy vs. FTR, The Dogs and Tommaso Ciampa

A huge brawl to start the match. Enjoyable chaos! Who is the legal man, though!? A better than average match with Copeland pinning Connors. Cope may not have ever thrown a superkick before this.

🔥 MATCH 2 — Mike Bailey vs. Westbrook

Bailey against local talent that slipped on the ropes leading to a quick victory for Bailey. After The Jets victory Speedball said he wanted a shot at the World Title.

Gordon: “A most impressive showing — momentum firmly in his corner.”

🔥 MATCH 3 —  Kevin Knight vs. Brian Cage

The Machine looked better than ever. Cage looks good against small guys because of his speed. Knight retains the TNT Title. A better than average match.

The Demand and Mark Davis reveal that Andrade and The Dogs have joined their Stadium Stampede team.

🔥 MATCH 4 — Will Ospreay vs. Ace Austin

Ospreay shows what he learned from the Death Riders. Handshakes and technical wrestling to start. Austin focused on the neck in the beginning but Ospreay started building momentum after the TV break. This was a very good match. Ospreay wins with an armbar. The Opps come out to taunt him before his Owen Hart match with Samoa Joe. Anthony Bowens and Katsuyori Shibata approached the ring but were chased off by the Death Riders.

Ed: “Fans, that’s dominance — pure and simple!”

🔥 MATCH 5 — Triangle of Madness vs. Brawling Birds and Hikaru Shida

The Triangle of Madness with a sneak attack but are quickly chased from the ring by the Birds and Shida. A very hard hitting match. Thekla gets a DQ after hitting Hayter with the belt. Shida refused to help her partner. Willow Nightengale, Mina Shirakawa and Thunder Rosa made the save. Another better than average match.

Kris Statlander wasn’t there as she was not cleared to travel. Andrade shook his hair in MJF’s face backstage. Mark Briscoe returned during a Conglomeration segment backstage.

Ed: “Fans, that’s as personal as it gets!”

Gordon: “A most combustible situation — and one that cannot be contained much longer.”

🔥MAIN EVENT– Darby Allin vs. Konosuke Takeshita

Allin has defended the title every week on TV. Takeshita’s size allowed him to punish the champ early. He tested Allin’s limits in a very punishing match. Don Callis tried to interfere but was waived off by Takeshita. Allin won after hitting a pair of Coffin Drops. Another better than average match. MJF had given Callis the Dynamite Diamond Ring to help Takeshita win. MJF came out after the match to sign the contract for the hair vs title match. He attacked Allin and was going for a piledriver off the middle turnbuckle when Kevin Knight made the save.

📰 AEW NEWS & RUMORS

Jericho Staying in AEW

Despite months of speculation about a WWE return, Jericho is confirmed to be staying with AEW. Jericho was missing since disbanding The Learning Tree stable the night after he lost the ROH World title to Bandido in April of last year. AEW had extended his contract while he was away. It’s believed that Jericho and AEW came to an agreement on a new contract leading to his return. One advantage signing with AEW over WWE has is that Jericho will be able to continue pursuing outside projects. (According to Bleacher Report) WWE wanted him to sign for a retirement tour. ⭐ Eric Bischoff weighs in on Ricochet

“Ricochet is not the smartest, brightest bulb on the tree, so to speak. That was a stupid thing to do. I think his excuse was, ‘Oh I was in character.’ No, I just think it was poor judgment, that he tried to camouflage by talking about the fact that he was in character when he did it as opposed to just saying, ‘I’m sorry.’ He should have just said, ‘I’m sorry’ and not try to make an excuse for it. Whatever, he did apologize, that’s what matters. We all move on.” (According to ITRWrestling.com)

Omega Touts AEW’s Affordable Prices

“We’re sort of like the alternative. We’re not quite WWE, and we’re not an indie either. We’re just All Elite Wrestling.

What we try to be is the most fun live show that you can watch, available to you. And I do think that for family-friendly shows, mostly family-friendly, the ticket prices are absolutely friendly. We never skimp on the content. You’ll always get a ton of wrestling for your money’s worth.

I even think we’re getting a double taping as well in Winnipeg, so you’re getting a whole lot of AEW, and you’re not having to mortgage your house or sell off your first child. That’s not even a knock on any promotion, it’s just that if you want to check out a television product, see yourself on TV, and have fun, see what makes AEW special, you can do it at an affordable price.

And I’m just really glad that if there’s any interest whatsoever, whether you’re a diehard AEW fan or you just want to check out a night of wrestling and do something fun with family or friends, there are price point options available for all walks of life. That’s one thing I’m very proud of with AEW.” (As seen on CBC News Manitoba)
