  • “THIS WEEKEND ON WOW – WOMEN OF WRESTLING
  • Frenemies
  • Coach Campanelli claims to have the answer to Top Tier’s problems, but her “solution” isn’t what anyone expected. The Enlightened step into their biggest test yet, a shot at The WOW World Trios Championship. Under the command of The IQ Superior Samantha Smart, Dr. Pam Demonium, Nova Sky, and Miranda The Mindful are sent into battle against the Champions, Monsters & Metal: Chainsaw, Daisy Lane, and Fury. Samantha Smart’s quest to gild her empire in gold could end in enlightenment…or annihilation. In the aftermath of Coach Campanelli’s cutthroat “weakest link” strategy, Gloria Glitter faces The Albanian Grappler, Xena Phoenix, in a tense singles clash. With the pressure mounting, the question isn’t just who wins, but whether Coach really does know best… or has gone too far. And in the Main Event, tensions finally boil over as former friends and partners collide; with betrayal, bad blood, and new alliances in play. It’s Best 4 Business: Kara Kai and Sandy Shore vs. Ashley Blaze and Tara Strike.”

Ed: “WOW’s roster is stacked with personalities — every episode feels like a powder keg ready to blow!”

Gordon: “Indeed. A most theatrical presentation, yet grounded in spirited athleticism.”

🎙️ Desk intro

Ed: “Fans, from the PowerrrStation in Tampa to Arena México in the heart of CDMX, the action’s been hotter than a depot stove this past week! The National Wrestling Alliance is gearing up for the Crockett Cup, and CMLL just rolled through another packed week of classic lucha trios.”

Gordon: “Indeed. A most eventful period—one promotion leaning into territory‑style storytelling, the other showcasing the pageantry and speed of lucha libre at its finest.”

🟥 National Wrestling Alliance

NWA Powerrr — April 28, 2026 (Roku finale before COMET)

This episode was positioned as the last Powerrr on The Roku Channel before the move to COMET and the Crockett Cup, with a clear focus on setting up contenders and giving key acts a tune‑up.

Key story beats:

  • Wrecking Ball Legursky vs. Dr. Viktor (w/ Ms. Starr) Billed as a No. 1 contender’s match for the Ten Pounds of Gold, this was framed as Dr. Viktor being “convinced” by Ms. Starr that winning would impress Women’s TV Champion Tiffany Nieves. Legursky dominated early, battering Viktor inside and outside the ring. A missed charge sent Wrecking Ball head‑first into the post; Viktor barely beat the count, giving him the countout win and the shock No. 1 contendership.Nieves appeared afterward, clearly intrigued, while Viktor sold every bit of the beating—“a sore winner” in every sense.
  • Good Brothers tune‑up & Crockett Cup hype The show was promoted around The Good Brothers getting ring time before the Crockett Cup, plus a “one‑of‑a‑kind” match in the ongoing feud between Daisy Kill and Eric Smalls, keeping that undercard rivalry hot heading into the tag tournament.
  • Ten Pounds of Gold picture The commentary hammered home that the winner of Legursky/Viktor would get a shot at World Heavyweight Champion “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason, tightening the world‑title focus going into the COMET era.

NWA Powerrr #256 Results

NWA Powerrr on COMET TV starting May 1.

Match Results

NWA World Heavyweight Championship Match
Thrillbilly Silas Mason (c) def. Dr. Vik (w/ Miss Starr & Gretta) — Silas Mason retained the title

NWA World Heavyweight Title #1 Contendership Match
Dr. Vik (w/ Miss Starr & Gretta) def. Wrecking Ball Legursky — Countout. Dr. Vik is now the new #1 contender for the Ten Pounds of Gold.

Tag Team Match
The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) def. The Rewind Society (Samuel C & VHS).

NWA World Women’s Tag Team Title #1 Contendership Match
Hollyhood Haley J & Sirena Veil def. Pretty Empowered (Kenzie Paige & Kylie Paige) — Sirena Veil pinned Kylie Paige, earning her a title shot at the Crockett Cup.

Shanghai Painstick Lethal Ladder Match
Daisy Kill def. Eric Smalls — Daisy Kill ascended the ladder to victory.

Ed: “Fans, only in the NWA do you get a man beaten from pillar to post and still walking out as the number one contender!”

Gordon: “A most fortuitous outcome for Dr. Viktor—and a potentially hazardous one for the reigning champion if Dr. Vik didn’t have to wrestle twice on one show.”

NWA direction, news & rumors

  • Network move: Powerrr is transitioning from The Roku Channel to COMET, with back‑to‑back new episodes advertised for May 1–2, signaling a renewed TV push.
  • Crockett Cup focus: Tag‑team positioning (Good Brothers, ongoing feuds like Daisy Kill/Eric Smalls) is clearly being tuned for the upcoming Crockett Cup.
  • World title scene: Dr. Viktor’s fluke‑but‑official No. 1 contender status gives Silas Mason a challenger who’s storyline‑battered but opportunistic—classic NWA territory framing.

Ed: “The table’s set, fans—new TV home, Crockett Cup on deck, and a very unlikely man staring at the Ten Pounds of Gold.”

🟥🟩 NWA & CMLL — COMPREHENSIVE RUNDOWN

Presented by Ed & Gordon

Ed: “Fans, the action from the National Wrestling Alliance and CMLL has been hotter than a depot stove! The most recent Powerrr and Super Viernes broadcasts gave us plenty to chew on.”

🟥 NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE (NWA)

Powerrr — April 21, 2026

Full Review & Analysis

The April 21 edition of NWA Powerrr from the PowerrrStation in Tampa delivered a tight, territory‑style show that spotlighted rising prospects, showcased the Junior Heavyweight division, and closed with a heated No Limits main event. The episode leaned heavily on in‑ring action, with several matches giving younger talent meaningful shine.

🥇 Junior Heavyweight #1 Contender’s Triple Threat

Damian Fenrir def. Ethan Tornadeau & Alex Misery This opener was fast, athletic, and exactly what the Junior division is supposed to be. Tornadeau hit the flashiest offense — including a gorgeous shooting star press — but Fenrir’s power and timing won out. He snatched Tornadeau off a pin attempt and drilled him with the Lightning Bomb for the victory. Fenrir sold a knee injury throughout, which became important immediately after.

Verdict: Strong opener, great pacing, and Tornadeau looked like a future star.

🏆 NWA Junior Heavyweight Championship

Spencer Slade (c) def. Damian Fenrir Fenrir went straight from his Triple Threat win into a title match, still limping. Aron Stevens made sure the champ had every advantage, tripping Fenrir behind the referee’s back. Slade worked the knee relentlessly, mixing suplexes with grinding mat control. Fenrir fought back with heart — including a top‑rope crossbody for a near fall — but his knee buckled on a shotgun lariat attempt. Slade locked in the SladeLock for the submission.

Verdict: Classic “injured challenger” story. Fenrir gained credibility even in defeat.

💀 Bonez (w/ Brandon McCord) def. Gaagz the Gymp

A short, character‑driven match. Bonez looked dominant, and Gaagz played his usual chaotic role. Not a standout bout, but it served its purpose.

💥 Pretty Boy Smooth (w/ Pastor C‑Lo) def. Big Cuzzo

A heavyweight clash with some rough edges. The post‑match angle was the real highlight: Trevor Murdoch stormed in and hit Smooth with a top‑rope bulldog, setting up a future feud.

🚂 Pretty City Express def. Jack ’n Eddie

CLAS & Devin Reno continue to build momentum. The big story here is that Jack Valor and Eddie Grayson are only 18 years old, and they held their own against a polished team. A promising showcase for the youngest prospects on the roster.

🔥 MAIN EVENT — No Limits Match

Bryan Idol def. Carnage This was a wild, weapons‑legal brawl built around Idol seeking revenge after Carnage cost him a title shot. Carnage dominated large stretches and nearly powerbombed Idol out of the ring to the floor. The finish came when Thom Latimer ran in with a chair to save Idol — legal under No Limits rules — allowing Idol to capitalize and score the win.

Verdict: Carnage looked like a monster, Idol looked gutsy, and Latimer’s involvement keeps the storyline moving.

🎯 Overall Show Rating: 7.5/10

Strengths:

  • Strong Junior division storytelling
  • Young talent showcased effectively
  • Main event delivered intensity and storyline progression

Weaknesses:

  • One mid‑card match dragged
  • Idol needing help may undercut his babyface momentum (as noted by fan analysts)

Final Take: A classic, territory‑flavored episode with meaningful matches, rising stars, and a main event that felt chaotic in all the right ways.

Ed: “Fans, that was a pier‑six brawl if I’ve ever seen one!”

Gordon: “Quite so. A most brutal affair with championship implications.”

📰 CMLL News & Rumors

Injuries at the April 20th show including Mistico. thecubsfan.com reported; “Tiger – the Puebla Black Tiger – seemed to have a medical incident after the finish of his match. He took a top rope frankensteiner with no obvious issue on the landing, but his eyes were closed, and he didn’t move much, taking the finishing pin. Referee Metalico was concerned after the pin, checked on Tiger, and then seemed to move away like he was OK. Tiger’s arms continued to shake while he was otherwise motionless on the mat. A crowd cut later, a paramedic and a doctor were in the ring, attending to Tiger as he continued to shake. More medical personnel followed, and all seemed very concerned. CMLL went to long crowd shots and showed the ring very little until Black Tiger was loaded onto a stretcher. Luchadors do sometimes sell in this situation, but the urgency in the medical care and that he kept shaking even as they were checking on him made it appear genuine. There was no medical update on him from CMLL. Most of the usual media outlets that cover Puebla shows didn’t happen to cover this one, or at least didn’t post anything about it. I couldn’t find anything on Facebook with more info. No one seemed that concerned except people watching the stream, so I guess we’ve got to cross our fingers and hope Tiger was doing a work for no reason and so well that he even fooled the doctors.

Mistico’s left leg injury here was obviously not as serious, but it also put some pieces together. Mistico and Volador should’ve had a singles match on this show, given what they set up last week. Clon and Mistico should’ve had a singles match in Coliseo a couple of weeks back. Hechicero and Mistico should’ve had that singles match in Vegas. Neither Mistico nor the doctor seems particularly surprised his leg was bugging him here; they got it wrapped quickly as if they’d been preparing it to be an issue. I think (and it has since also been suggested to me) that Mistico’s been working through an injury for a while. They’re trying to manage it while working tag matches, the Mistico/Hechicero match got changed because he can’t risk it in a long singles match, and the other singles matches didn’t happen for the same reason. It would be nice if CMLL had figured that out before putting Mistico in those matches, or at least explained why he wasn’t in them, but that seems to be the deal – Mistico’s hurt enough that he (and they) are being cautious with him, but not so much that they’re sitting him down. I hope that’s clear enough for the aggregators.”

Coming up on April 24th as reported by thecubsfan.com: “Reyna Isis was on the Homenaje a Dos Leyendas card, her first match since December. She was pulled off the show days before, with CMLL Informa announcing she was injured. She went on Instagram, saying it was fake news and that she was simply waiting for a doctor to sign off on clearance, which would take two weeks for unclear reasons. She’s now back about four weeks later.”

📰 4. News — The Big Headlines of the Week

EC3 Claims He’s Been Blackballed After NWA Exit (March 8)

  • EC3 alleges major companies are shutting him out following his departure. ⭐ Summary
  • EC3 left the NWA on January 1, 2026, announcing his departure publicly and framing it as the end of a completed chapter rather than a dispute. His exit followed a long, dominant Worlds Heavyweight Championship reign and major behind‑the‑scenes contributions, including helping launch the Exodus Pro developmental system.
  • 🏆 Why EC3 Left the NWA
  • 1. He said his run had reached its “natural end.”
  • In a TMZ Inside the Ring interview, EC3 explained that he had nothing left to add creatively and felt he had completed what he set out to do.
  • 2. He wanted evolution, not brand loyalty.
  • He emphasized that he doesn’t “chase three‑letter brands,” but “chases moments,” suggesting he was ready for a new direction.
  • 3. He announced it himself on January 1, 2026.
  • EC3 posted a long, reflective farewell message on X (Twitter), confirming his departure and thanking the NWA.
  • 🥇 What He Accomplished Before Leaving
  • A historic Worlds Heavyweight Championship reign
  • Held the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title for 370+ days
  • Defended it 80+ times across four continents
  • Other major accomplishments
  • Former NWA National Champion
  • Key figure in the company’s modern presentation
  • Retired Tyrus in their final match
  • Behind‑the‑scenes contributions
  • EC3 helped launch Exodus Pro, the NWA’s first official developmental territory, and emphasized building a culture that produced new talent for the main roster.
  • 🗣️ How EC3 Described His Exit
  • From his public statement:
  • “My time with the National Wrestling Alliance has come to an end.”
  • He framed his departure as respectful and appreciative, not contentious.
  • From his interview:
  • He said he couldn’t add anything more to the NWA’s culture.
  • He stressed authenticity in wrestling and said indifference — not boos — is the real enemy.
  • 🔮 What’s Next for EC3?
  • EC3 has not announced his next move, but he made it clear his in‑ring career is far from over and that he intends to continue building something meaningful — possibly outside major promotions.
  • His next move remains unclear.

Aron Stevens Re‑Signs with NWA

  • The former champion commits to another two years.

Pretty Boy Smooth Signs Long‑Term Deal

Colby Corino Says His Comeback Is “When, Not If”

  • Multi‑year deal signed; return imminent.

Gordon:

“The contractual landscape is shifting rapidly. Stability in the roster often precedes major storyline developments.”

🔍 5. Rumors & Industry Buzz

Former WWE Names Circling NWA

  • Multiple ex‑WWE talents spotted backstage.
  • Speculation of new signings or short‑term angles.

EC3’s Comments Stir Locker Room Talk

  • His “blackballed” claim has sparked debate about NWA’s internal politics. Here’s the full, factual breakdown of EC3’s “blackballed” situation, based entirely on verified reporting from Sportskeeda, eWrestlingNews, WrestleZone, Ringside News, and NewsBreak. No speculation — just what’s confirmed.

THE SHORT VERSION (What’s Actually True)
EC3 did say he was “probably blackballed” from major wrestling promotions — but later clarified that it was sarcasm, not a literal claim. He says he isn’t blackballed at all, just misunderstood, and that wrestling media misreported his tone.

🧩 WHAT EC3 ORIGINALLY SAID (THE “BLACKBALLED” COMMENT)
During an interview on the Sportshadow YouTube channel, EC3 said:
“I’m also probably blackballed from most of them because people can’t handle my authentic truth.”
He was referring to why he hasn’t signed with a major promotion (WWE, AEW, TNA) since leaving NWA.
    Context of the original comment
He said he hasn’t joined a major promotion because he refuses to compromise his personal philosophy.
He suggested some companies “can’t handle” his honesty.
He framed his absence as partly by choice, partly due to industry politics.
This is the quote that wrestling media ran with.

    🧩 WHAT EC3 LATER CLARIFIED (THE WALK‑BACK)
Two days later, EC3 posted a long clarification on Twitter/X saying:
    The “blackballed” line was sarcastic.
He does not believe he’s blackballed.
Media “can’t grasp tone or context.”
He’s been building, not blocked — specifically:
    Developing Exodus Pro
Working on a “creative conclusion” to The Top 1%
    Training talent
    He also mocked the idea:
“Blackballed? Please. The only thing my balls are is sunned.”

🧩 WHY THE STORY BLEW UP
    Because:
EC3 left NWA on January 1.
He hasn’t appeared in AEW, WWE, or TNA since.
His original quote sounded serious without the sarcasm context.
Media outlets ran headlines like “EC3 says he’s blackballed.”
He then pushed back hard, saying the reporting was misleading.

🧩 WHAT EC3 ACTUALLY BELIEVES NOW
    According to his clarification:
    He is NOT blackballed.
    He says:
    He’s choosing to work independently.
He’s building Exodus Pro into a prestige indie.
    He’s crafting long‑term creative projects.
No company has “power over him.”

    🧩 THE REAL TAKEAWAY
    EC3’s “blackballed” comment was:
    Said jokingly
    Reported seriously
    Clarified forcefully
He insists he’s not banned, blocked, or frozen out — he’s simply working on his own terms.

Silas Mason’s Rising Profile

  • After impressing film directors (per earlier reporting), rumors suggest outside‑the‑ring opportunities may expand his visibility. Here’s the full story behind why people keep saying Silas Mason “impressed film directors” — and what that actually means for his future. This is all grounded in verified reporting from Ringside News.
  • Short Version
  • Silas Mason impressed The Iron Claw director Sean Durkin so much with his performance as Terry “Bam Bam” Gordy that Durkin is now considering him for a major role in his next A24 film, Deep Cuts. This attention is a big reason Mason transformed his physique and stayed “camera‑ready” during his NWA title run.
  • 🎬 What Exactly Happened?
  • 1. Mason’s breakout acting role (2023)
  • Silas Mason played Terry “Bam Bam” Gordy in The Iron Claw, the acclaimed Von Erich biopic directed by Sean Durkin.
  • His portrayal reportedly left a strong impression on Durkin.
  • Mason’s physicality and presence stood out, even in a cast filled with major Hollywood names.
  • 2. Durkin wants him back
  • According to Ringside News:
  • Mason is in talks to reunite with Durkin for his next A24 project, Deep Cuts.
  • Filming is scheduled to begin as early as February 2026.
  • Mason’s name is being floated for a key role.
  • This is not rumor‑mill chatter — it’s directly tied to his previous performance.
  • 3. Why Mason transformed his body
  • A source told Ringside News that Mason’s dramatic physical transformation — dropping weight, adding definition — was driven by two goals:
  • Preparing for his run as NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion
  • Staying ready for his next major film opportunity
  • He’s been training like someone who expects a casting call at any moment.
  • 4. What this means for his future
  • If Mason lands the role:
  • He becomes one of the rare modern wrestlers to hold the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship and secure a major A24 acting role simultaneously.
  • It could elevate his mainstream profile the way The Iron Claw elevated several wrestlers and actors.

Ed:

“Oh my, folks — when Hollywood starts calling, you KNOW a champion’s star is shining bright!”

🧭 6. The Ed and Gordon Wrap-Up

Ed :

“Fans, what a week! Champions standing tall, tempers boiling over, and the rumor mill spinning like a Tilt‑A‑Whirl at the Calgary Stampede!”

Gordon :

“As we proceed into the spring schedule, the strategic implications for the NWA’s championship hierarchy are profound. Keep your eye on Silas Mason, Camaro Jackson, and the shifting alliances backstage.”
